CM Punk’s WWE RAW return plans revealed - Reports
WWE RAW is set to kick off in less than an hour with fallout from Bad Blood. The PLE saw CM Punk defeat Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell, on the 27th anniversary of the first-ever match held inside the mammoth steel structure. Sources have just revealed plans for Punk's return to television on the red brand.
The Voice Of The Voiceless conquered The Scottish Warrior in thirty-one minutes to open Bad Blood on Saturday. It's been rumored that Punk and McIntyre will go their separate ways moving forward, but it remains to be seen who each man will work with next as we go into the end of the year.
Despite Saturday's brutal cell brawl, Punk apparently suffered no major injuries and is expected to be at RAW. McIntyre needed staples to close a head wound, yet is being advertised for the show tonight.
Punk is currently scheduled to open tonight's live RAW broadcast on the USA Network, according to Fightful Select. It wasn't clear what the former AEW World Champion would have to say, or whether McIntyre would be involved.
WWE announced Seth Rollins for tonight's show, to likely address last week's attack on Bronson Reed. A feud between Rollins and Punk had been rumored, but it's interesting to note that The Visionary is not listed on the official WWE website preview for RAW, and he was not included on the internal run sheet handed out to producers backstage before tonight's episode.
After the opening segment with Punk, Jey Uso is scheduled to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods. An "unlisted segment" is scheduled after that, followed by Sheamus vs. Pete Dunne in the Good Ol' Fashioned Donnybrook Match.
A Ten-Women Tag Team Match is scheduled next, featuring The Unholy Union and Pure Fusion Collective vs. Natalya, Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, and Zelina Vega. Gunther will then defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn in the main event.
