Cody Rhodes misses major event outside WWE - Reports
Cody Rhodes was slated to appear at a major event outside WWE. However, he has reportedly missed the event and the reason hasn't been revealed yet.
After defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes has become 'The Man' in WWE. He is the Undisputed WWE Champion and that title comes with its own set of responsibilities. Being the flag bearer of the Stamford-based promotion is no easy feat and many men have struggled with it.
As champion, The American Nightmare is a wanted fan both by those pursuing his title as well as the fans and media. Hence, why fans were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Cody at the press conference for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul which is slated to take place in November this year on Netflix.
However, PWInsider is reporting that Cody Rhodes, who was slated to appear and ask a question, didn't turn up at the event. The exact reason for his not showing up is still not known but the media was wondering about his whereabouts, considering WWE's deal with Netflix. It is also reported that the Fanatics' head Michael Rubin personally requested The American Nightmare to show up for the segment but that did not happen.

During the Fanatics Fest event in New York City, Cody Rhodes was asked if he wanted to face Cena on his retirement tour. The American Nightmare praised The Cenation Leader and said it would be an honor to face him in any capacity.
"Guys, let's hear it for John Cena. We get to live in this era. [...] He is definitely a man of his word. When he says it's farewell, it truly is farewell. So, if you've [not] got the Farewell Tour T-shirt, go and get it. This is it. I drove around John for a year, and I learned everything I possibly could. [I] Didn't realize I was learning so much at the time. It would be the honor of my life to wrestle John Cena in any capacity. He's the GOAT for a reason," he said. [From 0:14 to 1:00]
