Disappointing update on Tamina’s WWE status after over 18 month absence - Reports

Tamina Snuka is related to WWE royalty as a member of the Anoa'i Family. The veteran has locked up with some of the best from the women's division over the years, but her status has been up in the air for quite some time. A new report has now provided an unfortunate update on the in-ring future of Jimmy Snuka's daughter.

Snuka worked a WWE tryout in December 2009 and was signed weeks later. She debuted on the main roster in 2010 with The Usos. Being one of the longest-tenured superstars in the company, Tamina was sent to SmackDown in the 2023 Draft but left without a brand after this year's Draft. The nine-time 24/7 Champion has not wrestled since losing to Mia Yim on the March 2, 2023 edition of Main Event.

The Bloodline Civil War is reportedly set to expand in a major way ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames and that has led to fan speculation on potential female members for the two factions. However, a new update from a Fightful Select Q&A notes that Snuka is no longer active with WWE.

It was noted that Snuka does not come to WWE shows on a regular basis, and has not been included on any internal rosters. There has been no backstage talk of Tamina returning to action, and especially nothing said about The Rock's cousin potentially getting involved with The Bloodline storyline.

The one-time Women's Tag Team Champion is not listed as a free agent on the official WWE website roster. Snuka appears when the roster is filtered by Current or All superstars, but she is not seen when narrowed down by brand or any Alumni rosters. The profile for the 46-year-old does not have a brand logo above the name, which is the format used for free agents or Alumni superstars.

Tamina Snuka's WWE career ended in a losing streak

Tamina Snuka has not wrestled since February 28, 2023. The second-generation star was defeated by Mia Yim that night during the pre-RAW Main Event tapings, which aired on March 2.

One week before Snuka's final appearance on Main Event, she and Dana Brooke were defeated by Yim and Candice LeRae on the same show. The veteran did compete in the 2023 Royal Rumble, but her final five matches of 2022 were two live event losses to Brooke, a RAW loss to Yim, and Main Event losses to Alba Fyre and Katana Chance.

Tamina's final victory was a brief 24/7 Championship win over Nikki Cross at a live event on August 20, 2022. However, her last televised win was over Jazmin Allure on the July 14, 2022, Main Event, and her last RAW win was on April 25 of that year when she and Akira Tozawa defeated Brooke and Reggie. R-Truth was the special referee for that match.
