Disappointing update on WWE star Roman Reigns after The Usos' reunion [Reports]
The WWE Universe is still reeling from an emotional moment between The Usos as Roman Reigns watched them reunite from afar on SmackDown last night. However, a disappointing update on future plans for The Original Tribal Chief has come to the fore.
The 39-year-old superstar hasn't been involved in the title picture since returning at SummerSlam this year. He lost his Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes during a Bloodline Rules match in the main event of WrestleMania XL Night 2.
Upon his return, Reigns warned Rhodes that he would be taking back his title when he was done dealing with Solo Sikoa. The Rock's sensational return at Bad Blood planted the seeds for a potential Triple Threat match pitting the two cousins against The American Nightmare at WrestleMania 41.
That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Xero News recently noted that The Original Tribal Chief won't be winning the 30-man Royal Rumble match next year because the plans are for The Rock to challenge Cody Rhodes at The Show of Shows.
That leaves Roman Reigns' future up in the air as he may not have a clear path to WrestleMania 41. A potential match with Solo Sikoa or Jacob Fatu could be on the cards if the Bloodline civil war continues till next year.
What's next for Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline?
Just days after costing Jey Uso his Intercontinental Championship on RAW, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa lost their WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown this week.
The Motor City Machine Guns earned a shot at the tag team gold after defeating #DIY to earn the right to face The Bloodline. Interestingly, an impromptu match took place between the two teams in the main event, which was filled with shenanigans.
Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns both made their presence felt during the closing moments of the match. However, it wasn't until a hooded figure in the form of Jey Uso appeared and cost the Tongans their WWE Tag Team Titles.
A Six Man Tag Team match between the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline seems to be set for Crown Jewel on November 2.
