Former Universal Champion could reportedly return to WWE under only one circumstance
A recent report has shed light on whether a potential WWE return is on the cards for a former Universal Champion. The veteran has been away from the promotion since SummerSlam last year.
Brock Lesnar's prolonged absence from World Wrestling Entertainment television has been a topic of great discussion among fans. The 47-year-old stalwart was kept away from WWE's creative plans after he was allegedly referenced in the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon.
The word making rounds backstage is that the legal team has advised Triple H not to deal with Brock Lesnar, at least until the legal situation has settled down. In the latest report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that The Beast Incarnate's alleged reference brought a lot of negativity and that he wouldn't be brought back on television until that belief had changed.
"The situation with Brock Lesnar right now is that there were reasons having to do with what was in the Grant lawsuit that WWE legal felt it was not good to have Lesnar on television. When that belief changes, Lesnar will be back and on television. It’s not his decision to decide to come back, it is their decision on if they want him back and when," he said.
Brock Lesnar was recently spotted in Nashville, which is a 7-hour drive away from the Cleveland Browns Stadium, where SummerSlam will take place this Saturday. Will The Beast make his presence felt this weekend? Only time will tell.
