Impressive John Cena stat following his Royal Rumble declaration
WWE Superstar John Cena is set to participate in the Men's Royal Rumble for the first time since 2018. The Cenation Leader will be one of the major attractions of the premium live event.
The 47-year-old kickstarted his Farewell Tour on Monday Night RAW's Netflix debut. Cena cut a promo to announce his participation in the Men's Royal Rumble Match as the veteran pointed out that he had lost most of his recent contests and does not deserve a direct shot at a championship. On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Paul Heyman revealed that Roman Reigns, another top star, will compete in the 30-man bout.
Earlier today, WrestleTix shared a post on X (fka Twitter) revealing that the Stamford-based company has already distributed 53,369 out of the total 56,265 tickets for the premium live event. He added that WWE sold 3,112 tickets in the last seven days.
In another X/Twitter post, WrestleTix hailed John Cena as "the top draw in the business." The X user noted that since the 16-time World Champion returned to WWE for the 'Summer of Cena' in 2021, the wrestling promotion has sold a minimum of 2-3K extra tickets for every show he appeared on. The post further featured the names of several other stars capable of moving the needle.

Popular WWE Superstar puts John Cena on notice amid injury hiatus
WWE Superstar Bronson Reed teased a confrontation with John Cena following the latter's appearance on the RAW Netflix Premiere. The 36-year-old was forced out of in-ring action after he injured his ankle while attempting a Tsunami off the top of the structure onto Roman Reigns lying on a table at Survivor Series: WarGames. The former NXT North American Champion had to undergo surgery and has been absent from programming ever since.
Responding to WWE's X/Twitter post asking who John Cena should face during his Farewell Tour, the Aussie noted when he gets cleared to wrestle, he would be the perfect antagonist for the veteran. Reed further claimed he was sure that Cena was scared of him.
"I'm the perfect Cena antagonist. I'm down once I'm cleared ... But I'm sure homies scared," he wrote.

In his highly decorated wrestling career, John Cena has competed in seven Royal Rumble Matches. The Cenation Leader emerged victorious on two occasions. While he won the contest in 2008 after entering at Number 30, Cena secured the win in 2013 after being the 19th star to enter the squared circle.
It will be interesting to see if Cena can equate to Stone Cold Steve Austin's record of three Royal Rumble Match wins in his last appearance at the event.
