Interesting note on WWE RAW's move to Netflix - Reports

2025 will be a huge year for WWE, as its flagship weekly show moves to Netflix in January. According to a new report, there will be an interesting change to the program's duration when it lands on the streaming platform.

It's been over a decade since WWE RAW adapted the three-hour format. Several things have changed behind the scenes since then, and the company is looking to write a new chapter in RAW's history when the show debuts on Netflix.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), the show's duration would be tweaked as it wouldn't be restricted to a certain time slot. Meltzer said the length of the weekly show could change according to the company's creative plans when it moves to Netflix.

The company has signed an extended deal with the USA Network for RAW's broadcast rights before the program eventually moves to Netflix in January 2025. It will be interesting to see what changes the show undergoes on the global streaming platform.

WWE made a drastic change to Monday Night RAW before the end of the year

It was a different era in the Stamford-based company when the management decided to make Monday Night RAW three hours instead of the usual two hours similar to SmackDown.

Despite fans' varied reactions, the show continued to air for three hours on Mondays for over a decade. However, viewers' perceptions seemingly changed when Triple H took over the creative duties.

The stories, promos, and match quality drastically improved under The King of King's leadership, and the show's length was no longer an issue for fans. However, a drastic change was recently made to Monday Night RAW.

Earlier this month, it was announced that RAW would go back to the two-hour format between October 2024 and December 2024.
