Major change confirmed for WWE SmackDown - Reports

A major change has been confirmed for tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown. It will be the blue brand's first episode on the USA Network after a five-year stint on FOX.

Earlier today, it was reported that WWE would be changing the theme song for SmackDown. The change has now been confirmed by WrestleVotes on social media, and the new theme will be "Neva Play" by Megan Thee Stallion.

"As @SeanRossSapp reported earlier, #SmackDown will be getting a new theme. We can now confirm that theme to be “Neva Play” by Megan Thee Stallion, featuring RM of BTS," wrote WrestleVotes.

Tonight's edition of SmackDown will feature a Steel Cage match between Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis also announced earlier today that the first 30 minutes of tonight's show will be commercial-free. Kevin Owens will also be teaming up with a mystery tag team partner to face A-Town Down Under during tonight's show.

Randy Orton claims WWE SmackDown star could win a major title

Randy Orton recently claimed that WWE SmackDown star Austin Theory could capture a major title down the line.

Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter earlier this year in an exclusive interview, The Viper praised Austin Theory as a performer. He noted that success in wrestling is difficult to predict, but stated that Theory has what it takes to become a major champion down the line.

"It's hard, I don't have a crystal ball or anything, but Austin Theory is young and he's got a great look. I know where his head's at. I've had plenty of talks with him, and a lot of the things that I did as a kid that I maybe shouldn't have, the distractions that I was confronted with, he doesn't have those. I think he's just a little more gung-ho, motivated. He sees the goal, he sees the prize, he knows what he wants. I think he'll definitely be a world champion one day," Orton said. [1:33 – 2:08]
