Major superstar re-signs with WWE - Reports

WWE has reached new agreements with several superstars as of late. The 2024 forecast had this year being one of the biggest for free agents in pro wrestling, but with Triple H at the helm, the promotion has managed to sign most of its wanted talents to new contracts. Sources just revealed another big name that won't be leaving any time soon.

Shayna Baszler had been an MMA fighter for nine years, when she arrived at ROH in March 2015 to begin her pro wrestling journey. She debuted for World Wrestling Entertainment in August 2017 during the inaugural Mae Young Classic but was eliminated in the final by winner Kairi Sane. Baszler is a two-time NXT Women's Champion and a three-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.

The Queen Of Spades has signed a new WWE contract. An update from Fightful Select notes that Baszler's deal was set to expire this year, but the new agreement came together just recently. Baszler's new contract is reported to run multiple years, but the exact length was not clear.

Several stars have recently signed three-year deals, including Chad Gable, Los Lotharios, and Drew McIntyre. Randy Orton, Hulk Hogan, and Finn Balor are among those who signed five-year extensions.

Backstage sources had nothing but praise for Baszler. The women's MMA pioneer approaches the job with no ego and is always easy to work with, according to one staffer, while a higher-up praised the 44-year-old for being helpful in various ways, and good with new talents.

The Submission Magician has joined Zoey Stark and Sonya Deville in forming The Pure Fusion Collective, which is being pushed on RAW. Monday's show saw Baszler defeat Zelina Vega before PFC attacked Vega and Lyra Valkyria.

Rumored WWE RAW season premiere match

World Wrestling Entertainment's season premiere of RAW will air on the USA Network this coming Monday. The show will be held at the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

A Mystery Partner Match is rumored for RAW. After Shayna Baszler defeated Zelina Vega this week, the PFC member was joined by Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark in beating down Vega and Lyra Valkyria.

The babyfaces later teased finding someone to help them face The Pure Fusion Collective next week. Below is the updated lineup for RAW:

  1. Bret Hart will return in his hometown
  2. Eight-Person Street Fight: The Wyatt Sicks vs. American Made
  3. Women's Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
  4. Braun Strowman vs. Jey Uso vs. Pete Dunne vs. Ilja Dragunov (winner to be the number-one contender for Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship)

WWE's website has Gunther, Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, and Dominik Mysterio featured for RAW. The venue has Drew McIntyre, Lyra Valkyria, and The Miz advertised.
