Major update on 26-year-old WWE star's potential call-up to main roster - Reports

There has been a major update regarding a popular 26-year-old WWE Superstar potentially being called up to the main roster. NXT Halloween Havoc aired last night from the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Oba Femi challenged Tony D'Angelo for the North American Championship during the NXT premium live event last night in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match. The Family showed up during the match and helped D'Angelo retain his title.

According to Corey Brennan of Fightful, Oba Femi is internally viewed as a future WWE Champion. Brennan added that tonight's episode of RAW was at the same location as Halloween Havoc and the potential exists for NXT stars to appear on the red brand's show.

However, it was also noted that he had not heard of anyone saying goodbye to Femi following Halloween Havoc and added that many in the promotion believed he would be the star to capture the NXT Championship from Trick Williams during WrestleMania 41 weekend.

Tony D'Angelo defeated Oba Femi on the October 8 edition of NXT to capture the North American Championship. Femi held the title for 272 days before losing it to D'Angelo earlier this month.

Major WWE star teases future rivalry with Oba Femi

Damian Priest recently teased a rivalry with Oba Femi and spoke highly of the former NXT North American Champion's potential on the main roster.

Speaking at a Fanatics Live Event, The Archer of Infamy claimed that Oba Femi was going to be a "megastar" in WWE. The former World Heavyweight Champion added that he would inevitably have a rivalry against Femi down the line.

“That’s gonna be a megastar. You can just tell sometimes and I mean, it’s all set up for him to just - he just has not taken his foot off the gas but, he’s gonna be fine so, I feel like that’s gonna inevitably happen anyway… Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that one [laughs]," said Priest. Femi has been dominant during his tenure in NXT so far. Only time will tell when WWE decides to bring the former champion up to the main roster.
