Major update on Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair's WWE return - Reports
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are among the Four Horsewomen who played a crucial role in the wrestling promotion's women's revolution. Both the Women's Grand Slam Champions are currently absent from WWE television. With the global juggernaut set to enter the Netflix Era, fans are expecting Lynch and Flair to make their returns soon.
While The Queen was forced out of action after she tore her ACL, MCL, and Meniscus during her singles match against Asuka in December last year, The Man is currently on a break after her contract with the wrestling promotion expired earlier this year on June 1.
According to a recent report from Viper of PW Nexus, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are expected to be back in action before the Royal Rumble. The premium live event is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Charlotte Flair opens up about her devastating injury
Charlotte Flair had to undergo surgery after sustaining multiple injuries during her match with The Empress of Tomorrow. December 8 marked one year since the singles contest, which resulted in the 38-year-old's absence from WWE programming for the entirety of 2024.
Speaking on the Forever Young Podcast earlier this year, The Queen opened up about her unfortunate injury. Charlotte claimed that she felt like her life was over when it happened. Flair pointed out how challenging it has been to deal with the injury, but she hopes to come out of it as the best version of herself.
"When it first happened, I thought my life was over. [laughs] I was like, oh my gosh, a perfect storm. My husband [Andrade] had just come back to the company or was on his way back. I knew he was gonna be debuting soon, and I just, from the moment I was taken out, I just have kept telling myself that I'm gonna come back the best version of The Queen, and when I do come back, and you never like to be sidelined due to an injury. But then again, I'm not sure if I would have ever sidelined myself had it not been for the injury, so it's been a challenge, but a challenge I know that's gonna make me better in the long run," she said.
