Major update on Jade Cargill amid WWE hiatus - Reports
There has been a major update regarding Jade Cargill's status during her hiatus from WWE. The former AEW star was attacked by a mystery assailant on the November 22 edition of SmackDown and has not returned to WWE television since.
According to a new report from PWInsider, Cargill is currently enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas during her hiatus from the company. The report added that the 32-year-old is also working on projects outside the promotion after she was written off television last month.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are the reigning Women's Tag Team Champions. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis informed The EST last night on SmackDown that the company still has not been able to figure out who attacked her tag team partner last month.
Aldis suggested that Belair and Cargill may have to relinquish the Women's Tag Team Championships if they cannot defend them. However, Naomi stepped in and said she would defend the titles alongside Bianca. It was later announced that Nia Jax and Candice LeRae would be challenging The Glow and The EST for the titles next Friday night on SmackDown.
Former WWE writer suggests Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill do not get along backstage
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently suggested that Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have issues with each other behind the scenes.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown show, available exclusively via Backstage Pass, Russo stated that he believes Belair and Cargill are not friendly backstage. He added that the storyline was meant to separate the two stars as a tag team.
"They're telegraphing this so badly. I don't know if (Bianca and Naomi) were involved now. Definitely Bianca Belair was involved. This is really coming off. I've said this all along. Jade Cargill and Bianca do not get along. And I've been saying that all along behind the scenes. This is why this storyline is going on, and they're gonna go their separate ways." The popular duo captured the Women's Tag Team Championships by defeating The Unholy Union at the Bash in Berlin earlier this year. Only time will tell what WWE has planned for the former TBS Champion when she returns to SmackDown.
