Major update on Jimmy Uso's WWE status following Bad Blood return - Reports
WWE Universe continues to buzz about the return of Jimmy Uso. The tag team legend shook things up at Bad Blood 2024 by returning to help cousin Roman Reigns deal with their Bloodline family members. Following a lengthy hiatus, sources have revealed a significant update on Jimmy's status moving forward.
Jey Uso defeated his brother in just over eleven minutes at Night One of WrestleMania XL. Their first-ever match saw Jimmy try to fake his younger brother out with an embrace, but this back-fired for the loss. Jimmy was beaten out of The Bloodline days later by Solo Sikoa, while Jey continued dominating RAW, right up to his recent Intercontinental Championship win. Jimmy returned during Bad Blood to save Roman and Cody Rhodes from Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, and now there are increased rumors and speculation on what's next for the tag team legend.
Jimmy's Bad Blood return marks the WWE creative team officially moving forward with the reunion of The Bloodline's original version. Now that Jimmy is healthy and has recovered from his yet-undisclosed injuries, PWInsider added that the 39-year-old is officially back as a full-time superstar.
WWE is believed to be still planning the so-called Bloodline Civil War storyline, which was rumored to go into the Survivor Series: WarGames Vancouver Premium Live Event. Bad Blood saw Jimmy return to reunite with Roman against Solo and his henchmen, while The Rock also returned to close the show, staring down Jimmy, Roman, and Cody Rhodes from the entrance way.
Sources were not clear on how Main Event Jey could make his way back to his brother and cousin in the World Wrestling Entertainment storylines. He is scheduled to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Xavier Woods on tomorrow's RAW. If Uso can successfully retain, he would then hit the 15-day mark of his first-ever singles reign.
Jimmy Uso issues heartfelt message following WWE return
Jimmy Uso has officially returned to action for WWE. After a 176-day hiatus, Jimmy returned at Bad Blood to assist Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in their win over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Jimmy took to Instagram after the show to react to what he was feeling with five words and one hashtag. He included a photo of the post-match embrace with The Original Tribal Chief.
"Home again. God is Great. #badblood," Jimmy Uso wrote with the photo below.
WWE has not announced Jimmy or Roman for any match or segment for Friday's post-Bad Blood edition of SmackDown, but Reigns has been advertised to appear, along with Rhodes, and Solo Sikoa. Jey Uso is also advertised for SmackDown. He's listed for a dark match against Bron Breakker, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.
