Major update on John Cena's retirement tour; WWE return date reportedly revealed (Exclusive)
John Cena is going to hang up his wrestling boots next year, where he will compete and appear in numerous WWE shows. An update on his retirement tour and expected return date has been reported.
The Cenation Leader announced at Money in the Bank that he will wrestle at Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania 41, and other events, with his final match set to take place in December 2025. WWE officially recognizes him as The Greatest of All Time.
According to WrestleVotes on a live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, John Cena's retirement tour will kick off on January 6 when RAW moves to Netflix.
"I do believe the official retirement tour is going to start on January 6, that's a part of Netflix. Potential opponents? We've spoken in the past about Randy Orton, CM Punk, I can see him mixing it up with Logan Paul one point over the next 12 months, so I think there's a wide-open book for John Cena here in 2025," reported WrestleVotes.
Bill Apter said he heard that the 16-time world champion could return at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
"That's where I see John [returning]. I think they're gonna load that NBC show with all the top guys... that's the part that I've heard," said Apter.
Many fans and veterans consider Cena one of, if not the greatest, WWE Superstars of all time. He's undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer.
