Major update on WWE star rumored to be called up to the main roster - Reports
There has been a major update about a popular WWE star's rumored call-up to the main roster. Tonight's edition of RAW will be the final episode of the red brand ahead of Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
Former NXT Champion Ethan Page signed with the promotion earlier this year after his time in All Elite Wrestling came to an end. According to a new report from PW Insider, Ethan Page has not been spotted at WWE RAW tonight, despite rumors that he could be called up to the main roster. The 35-year-old competed in the Iron Survivor Challenge this past Saturday at NXT Deadline but came up short.
Ethan Page captured the NXT Championship at Heatwave 2024 earlier this year. He held the title until the black and silver brand made its debut on the CW Network on October 1. Trick Williams defeated Page to win the title, with CM Punk serving as the special guest referee for the match.
Ethan Page makes offer to major WWE RAW star
NXT Superstar Ethan Page recently made an interesting offer to CM Punk. The Second City Saint got into a brawl with Seth Rollins on last Monday's episode of WWE RAW.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, the former AEW star noted his age and said he wanted to be called up to the main roster soon. Page suggested he serve as a special guest referee for a CM Punk match so he could get revenge on the veteran.
"I mean, it looks like whatever is going to put the most amount of money in my pocket," Page said of what a main roster run looks like for him WWE. "I'm 35. I gotta stack that cash up quick. I got two kids, hot Colombian wife. I'm just trying to make sure everyone's happy and taken care of. For that to happen, I probably gotta brush shoulders with guys like Punk who screwed me. So, if he needs a special guest referee, I'm pretty special. I'd love to return the favor," he said.
Ethan Page spent several years in All Elite Wrestling but never captured a title during his run with the company. It will be interesting to see if the 35-year-old gets called up to the main roster anytime soon in the Stamford-based promotion.
