Major WWE announcement set to be made on RAW - Reports
The WWE RAW season premiere is set to kick off in just a few hours. A loaded lineup has been confirmed for the show, but sources have now revealed a major happening to be announced later tonight.
WWE is bringing back Bad Blood in less than one month. This will mark the 27th anniversary of the inaugural Badd Blood pay-per-view, which featured the first-ever Hell in a Cell Match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.
There have been rumors of Hell in a Cell Matches headlining Bad Blood ever since the return of the PLE was announced, with several potential rivalries worthy of the steel structure, including CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, and Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan, among others.
The Scottish Psychopath and The Second City Saint are currently scheduled to do battle inside the Hell in a Cell structure, according to a new report from WrestleVotes. WWE is planning to announce the McIntyre vs. Punk HIAC Match for Bad Blood during tonight's RAW season premiere.
Bad Blood is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 in Atlanta. If this match happens, the PLE would mark Punk's sixth match inside the Hell in a Cell structure, winning twice. McIntyre has had two such bouts in the past but is still without a win.
Drew McIntyre defeated CM Punk at SummerSlam on August 3, with Seth Rollins as the special referee. The Best in the World then got a win back in the Strap Match at Bash in Berlin on August 31.
It bears watching who gets the upper hand if the trilogy does come to fruition.
