Major WWE legend backstage at NXT - Reports

WWE NXT is set to head to the legendary 2300 Arena, formerly the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, next week. Shawn Michaels and Co. seem to be pulling out all the stops to make it memorable. A recent report has noted that Rob Van Dam is backstage at tonight's black-and-silver brand, which will likely set up an angle for next week's show.

Fightful Select previously reported that WWE has been reaching out to ECW alums regarding the upcoming event. Lita was one of the names discussed for a potential tag team match. We also saw Bully Ray make an appearance at NXT Halloween Havoc last weekend, and the veteran is all but guaranteed to be present at the 2300 Arena as well. Dawn Marie is also slated to make an appearance on next week's edition of the developmental brand.

Now, another report from Fightful Select has noted that RVD is backstage at tonight's NXT. While it is still unknown what WWE has in store for the legend, chances are he could set up an angle or match for next week's show.

Rob Van Dam is an ECW original and was an integral part of the company for over half a decade. With Bully Ray and Dawn Marie slated to be present at next week's NXT, RVD's appearance should also be confirmed on tonight's show.
