Major WWE Superstar set to miss RAW - Reports
A top WWE Superstar will reportedly miss tonight's edition of RAW in Oregon. The name in question is involved in a rivalry with another major star who will be returning to the red brand tonight.
CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin, but The Scottish Warrior responded with a brutal attack on the September 2 edition of RAW. Punk will be making his first appearance on the red brand tonight since the attack, and a new report from Mike Johnson of PW Insider states that McIntyre will not be in attendance for tonight's show.
According to PW Insider, Drew McIntyre is not scheduled to be at tonight's episode of WWE RAW in Portland. The report noted that it was a creative decision by the company, and McIntyre was not missing the show due to injury or for any other reason.
McIntyre defeated CM Punk last month at SummerSlam in a singles match. The two superstars will be facing each other for a third time next month in a Hell in a Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood.
WWE RAW star Drew McIntyre reveals why he despises CM Punk
Drew McIntyre recently detailed his hatred for CM Punk and revealed that he thought the 45-year-old only cared about himself.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, McIntyre opened up about his issues with the former AEW star. He stated that he thought CM Punk was a liar who only thought about himself, and claimed there were mountains of evidence to prove his point.
"Hypocrite. Liar. Taker. Likes to put on a facade like he's trying to help people when he's really just trying to help himself, and if you doubt me just look at the mountains of evidence that are available through people's testimonies," he said. [0:17 – 0:34]
