Massive plans reportedly in place for Bret Hart's RAW appearance
WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart is set to make his return to Monday Night RAW after two years. A recent report has apparently revealed the internal strategy for The Hitman's appearance on the upcoming red brand show.
The Hitman's last WWE appearance was at the 2022 Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event. He was seated among the audience at ringside, enjoying the many exciting matches that took place during the event.
Bret Hart is confirmed to be at the season premiere of Monday Night RAW in Calgary on September 9, 2024. The news was announced by RAW interviewer Jackie Redmond on X (fka Twitter) and later confirmed by WWE's Chief Content Officer, Triple H.
According to PWInsider (via Wrestle Talk), a segment is planned between The Hitman and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on the upcoming episode of the red brand. This potential segment follows a previous incident on RAW where Sami Zayn interrupted The Ring General.
During their interaction, Zayn brought up the topic of wrestlers who have held both the Intercontinental and World Championships, naming Bret Hart as a notable example.

The Undertaker recently praised his former in-ring opponent, The Hitman. These two legendary wrestlers faced off in the ring more than 80 times during their WWE careers in the early 1990s.
On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Deadman stated that Bret Hart helped him demonstrate his abilities as a skilled wrestler beyond his iconic character.
"I didn't wanna be known, 'Oh, he was one of the greatest characters ever.' I also wanted to be known as one of the great workers, and Bret, working with him allowed me to do that because his work was solid and he was only gonna go so far within the range of the gimmick and everything, and I liked that because it forced me to figure out how to have good wrestling matches and be in character too," said Taker.
