Multi-time WWE Champion spotted in Orlando amid WWE return speculations - Reports
Rumor mills have been abuzz with speculations over the last few weeks regarding CM Punk's return to WWE. While there is still no definite update on his status, a recent report noted that the Second City Saint was spotted in Orlando, Florida.
The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster for CM Punk's fans as he was terminated from AEW following a backstage altercation at All In. Shortly after the incident, rumors of Punk's return to WWE started floating around which was followed by the company dropping subtle references to the former World Champion on TV programming.
Amid all the speculations, PWInsider has now stated that one of their subscribers spotted CM Punk and Ace Steel in Orlando, Florida. It should be noted that WWE's Performance Center is also based in the same city.
However, another report from Fightful Select confirmed that while Punk was in Orlando, he did not visit the Performance Center. The former AEW Champion has to attend the Cage Fury Fighting Championship show in Tampa, where he's set to do commentary.
Mark Henry wants to see CM Punk confront Seth Rollins in WWE
CM Punk has become one of the most divisive figures in the pro wrestling fraternity over the last few years. While the star is a proven draw, many don't want to see him return to the Stamford-based promotion due to his repeated controversial issues.
However, Mark Henry has openly stated his desire to see the former AEW Champion return to the sports entertainment juggernaut. The veteran also stated his desire to see Punk coming face-to-face with Seth Rollins.
"I don't want to see nothing more than [CM Punk challenging Rollins]," Mark Henry said. "That would be a monumental deal for both parties involved. It would be monumental to hear CM Punk's music play, to come out against Seth Rollins."
However, the Visionary seemingly has no interest in seeing CM Punk return to WWE. The World Heavyweight Champion made his thoughts about the controversial star clear in an interview where he called him "cancer" and asked him to stay away from the company.
