Netflix's alleged demands from WWE regarding Superstars on RAW - Reports
WWE is on the verge of a new beginning when it enters 2025. The flagship show of the Stamford-based company - WWE RAW will be exclusively available on Netflix. However, a new report has highlighted the initial demands made by the global streaming platform.
RAW's partnership with Netflix has been the talk among the members of the WWE Universe. Triple H has spoken of a change in programming once the show is featured on its new home, giving access to fans across the US, Canada, UK, and Latin America, among other territories, with additional countries and regions to be added over time.
When WWE RAW is streamed on Netflix, it will be a historical event as it marks a shift as the show moves away from linear television for the first time since its inception in 1993. Now, Xero News has reported that Netflix has requested for either Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes to be drafted to the red brand as early as January 2025. If Reigns is the one to head to the Adam Pearce-led brand, initial plans will see him win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Will Brock Lesnar be a part of WWE RAW when the show streams on Netflix?
The red brand's move to Netflix will mark a new beginning for the show. The WWE Universe has been excited about the move for quite some time and has been speculating about many changes that could be seen once the show is live on the global streaming platform.
One of the biggest questions that the fans have is whether Brock Lesnar will be a part of WWE's new journey. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio discussed The Beast Incarnate's potential return in January 2025. Lesnar's status with WWE after the partnership kicks off will depend on whether the legal team will be able to clear him for a return.
