Paul Heyman reportedly planned to make WWE return with a new client
A new update on Paul Heyman's potential WWE return plans has come to the fore. According to reports, The Wiseman may get a new client.
Roman Reigns' Special Counsel hasn't been seen on WWE TV since the June 28 episode of SmackDown. In his last appearance, the 59-year-old legend was powerbombed through the announce table by The Bloodline after he refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief.
Paul Heyman became the second victim of the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline, with the first being Jimmy Uso, who suffered the same fate on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 40.
Many thought The Wiseman would return alongside Roman Reigns, but the speculation was put to rest when The Original Tribal Chief came back alone at SummerSlam.
Xero News has learned that there have been backstage discussions about The Rock coming back to dethrone Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Not just that, The Final Boss is expected to have The Wiseman by his side, which would plant the seeds for an inevitable match between The Rock and Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 42.
Paul Heyman addresses when he will return to WWE
In a chat with Sam Roberts at the NYC Fanatics Fest, Paul Heyman said he would only return when the time was right and if he could contribute to further Roman Reigns' Bloodline story.
“It is going to set up a year’s worth of storylines. I will come back when it’s relevant for me to come back, when I need to come back, when I can add to Roman Reigns and not just ride his coattails and hang off of his glory. I love Jimmy Hart, I really do, I have so much respect for Jimmy Hart. But I don’t want to be Jimmy Hart carrying the boas for Hulk Hogan. I want to do something that contributes so much to the act that you sit there and you say ‘I love Roman Reigns, but my God I love him so much more with The Wiseman Paul Heyman.'”
Amid Heyman's absence, Roman Reigns has continued to feud with Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline. At Bad Blood, Reigns will join forces with the man who conquered him at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes, to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match.
