Potential major spoiler revealed ahead of WWE NXT tonight - Reports

Tonight's WWE NXT is a loaded episode. The card is stacked as the company prepares for the big move to the CW Network in just a few weeks. Sources backstage have just revealed a major spoiler for tonight's show.

Alexander Hammerstone is currently at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, according to Fightful Select. The TNA star was seen rehearsing in the ring with Oba Femi this afternoon. Hammerstone signed earlier this year after dominating MLW from February 2019 - April 2024.

The Ruler is planned to defend the NXT North American Championship on tonight's show, against a mystery opponent. The match was arranged by Tony D'Angelo after he paid the unknown wrestler off with an envelope of money. It's now believed that the first-ever Hammerstone vs. Femi match will happen tonight.

The Master Of Muscle Mountain isn't the only TNA star booked for tonight's NXT under the working relationship between the two companies. Jordynne Grace is scheduled to defend the Knockouts World Championship in another Open Challenge. TNA's Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz were set to challenge NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer, but they were declared unable to compete and replaced by The Street Profits.

The match for the NXT Tag Team Championship is set to open tonight's show. Below is the current announced lineup:

1. NXT Tag Team Championship: The Super Sonic Duo (c) vs. The Street Profits in the opener
2. Giulia makes her WWE in-ring debut vs. Chelsea Green
3. Open Challenge: Jordynne Grace defends the TNA Knockouts World Championship
4. Ridge Holland vs. Duke Hudson
5. NXT Heritage Cup Championship: Charlie Dempsey (c) vs. Je'Von Evans
6. Last Man Standing: Pete Dunne vs. Trick Williams to earn a match with NXT Champion Ethan Page on October 1

The next three episodes of NXT will be the final for the USA Network. WWE's big CW premiere for NXT is scheduled for October 1 in the same weekly Tuesday timeslot.
