Potential major spoilers on WWE plans for The Wyatt Sicks - Reports
WWE RAW featured the official arrival of The Wyatt Sicks this week. The group is seemingly very unique to the pro wrestling world, and the possibilities for various twists and turns could be endless. Backstage sources have just revealed potential spoilers on what creative has in store for the Bray Wyatt-inspired faction.
Uncle Howdy aka Bo Dallas has finally returned to World Wrestling Entertainment with his "sinister friends," as the company is currently billing them. RAW closed with a look at the backstage massacre committed by Howdy, Sister Abigail aka Nikki Cross, Ramblin' Rabbit aka Erick Rowan, Huskus The Pig aka Joe Gacy, and Mercy The Buzzard aka Dexter Lumis. WWE has released merchandise for The Wyatt Sicks, but they are being quiet for now by design.
WWE sources are revealing new behind-the-scenes details on The Wyatt Sicks. While the group and individual names have not been acknowledged by the company, Jey Uso has acknowledged them on WWE programming and a new report from Fightful Select notes that this will continue as there is planned involvement with various superstars.
The Wyatt Sicks likely will not interact with every program on RAW, but the latest report notes that sources expect the ramifications of their arrival will be widespread across various storylines. This will lead to a domino effect on stories that are happening up and down the card.
The wide array of superstars and other people attacked by The Wyatt Sicks, along with those who "left" before the show, were all planned, calculated, and designed for specific reasons.
A recent backstage report indicated that there will be no supernatural elements to the Wyatt group. As of this morning, that is still the plan. A source commented that "you can't beat ghosts with wrestling moves," which indicates a belief that it would be too hard to book a pay-off to that kind of story-telling.
Former WWE Attitude Era writer skeptical of The Wyatt Sicks
Vince Russo was one of the main people behind the controversial and groundbreaking story-telling of World Wrestling Entertainment's Attitude Era, and today he provides commentary on podcasts and YouTube shows.
Speaking on the latest episode of Sportskeeda's WrestleBinge, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion reacted to the RAW debut of The Wyatt Sicks. Russo expressed skepticism over whether or not WWE will be able to pull the unique storyline off.
"Unless you go to the extremes, there is no way to pull this off. Hold on, with that being said, could the WWE be purposely doing this? Because when it doesn't work in three or four weeks, 'Guys times have changed, they don't want it. They don't want entertainment anymore.' I'm telling you. Does this shut the critics up? 'We tried it and nobody wanted it. They want wrestling, times have changed.' I'm telling you. I'm a writer, I don't know how you pull this off," Vince Russo said. [From 36:00 onwards]
