Potential major WWE debuts on tonight's SmackDown - Reports
WWE SmackDown has returned to the USA Network. The blue brand's big Season Premiere episode will kick off in just a few hours, and there is significant speculation and rumors on potential plans. Sources have just revealed a potential spoiler on two massive arrivals in World Wrestling Entertainment.
The Lucha Brothers are reportedly WWE-bound. Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo were rumored to leave AEW for WWE when their contracts expired sometime around this month. Earlier reports claimed the former AEW champions wanted to bypass NXT for the main roster. An update from this morning noted that Penta and Fenix actually will be on the main roster when they debut.
The Man Of A Thousand Lives and Cero Miedo are reportedly set to join the SmackDown roster. A second source has now reported that Pentagon and Fenix are going directly to the main roster as PWN's Cory Hays provided an update this afternoon, noting that the 17-year industry veterans are expected to join the blue brand, at least as of now.
The Lucha Brothers have not confirmed that they are free agents from AEW yet. However, today's backstage reports on Penta and Fenix potentially joining the Stamford-based company have led to heavy speculation on the debuts happening on tonight's SmackDown Season Premiere. It remains to be seen if the brothers are able to debut, and if they are booked for tonight's special episode.
