Potential spoiler on major championship match at WWE Crown Jewel - Reports
WWE Crown Jewel 2024 will air live from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh on November 2. The sixth edition of the premium live event will feature as many as seven matches. In addition to the two newly introduced Crown Jewel exclusive titles, two other championships will also be on the line.
In one of those title matches, LA Knight will defend his United States Championship against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in a triple-threat match. The Megastar has successfully defended his title against both the challengers in singles contests. He had won the title by defeating Logan Paul earlier this year at WWE SummerSlam.
Heading into the show, Andrade was the favorite to win the championship, according to BetOnline. However, the odds have changed drastically, and LA Knight is now the favorite to retain his title. At the time of writing, the former Max Dupree has a 71.4% likelihood of winning the match.
Ex-WWE employee makes surprising prediction for the United States Championship match at Crown Jewel
Former WWE producer Freddie Prinze Jr. has predicted Carmelo Hayes will pull off a surprise win at Crown Jewel.
During his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, the 48-year-old predicted Carmelo Hayes would pin Andrade to win the United States Championship. Prinze believes LA Knight does not need the US Title, while the 30-year-old does.
"I think they are going to give Carmelo Hayes a big-time swing. I think this is going to be the moment. I think he will win at Crown Jewel, and he will get the win over Andrade, which puts him technically as the best of seven, even though they didn't get to finish the seven. Then he gets to wear the title, and then they can move on with LA Knight. He could have whatever major story. I don't think LA Knight needs a title now that he's won one to be a star. I'm not saying he is bigger than the world title, but he is bigger than the title he is carrying right now, whereas Carmelo is not," he said. [From 5:51 onwards]

Carmelo had a successful run in NXT, winning the brand's top championship once and the North American Championship twice. Although he has impressed fans with his work on the main roster, Melo has yet to win a title since moving to SmackDown earlier this year. It remains to be seen if he will outlast Knight and Andrade at WWE Crown Jewel.
