Potential spoiler on major plans for tonight's WWE RAW main event
WWE is continuing the road to its inaugural Bash In Berlin PLE. Several big matches have been booked for tonight's live RAW, and word now is that the main event will be a massive one for the WWE Universe. New information has also been revealed for the RAW undercard.
The 37th annual SummerSlam saw Bron Breakker dethrone Sami Zayn of the Intercontinental Championship just 28 days after Breakker's first shot at Money in the Bank. The shortest match on the SummerSlam card saw Breakker defeat Zayn in just under six minutes while his father and uncle, The Steiner Brothers, watched from the crowd.
Breakker appeared on last week's RAW to declare that he's the hunter and does not have a target on his back as champion. The former NXT Champion declared that the Intercontinental Championship was made for him, and no one can take his name off the title. It was then announced that he will defend against Zayn on this week's RAW in a 2 of 3 Falls match, but word now via Corey Hays of PWN is that the Zayn vs. Breakker rematch will air as tonight's main event.
WWE previously announced that Rhea Ripley will open tonight's RAW with a promo. The PWN report adds that the #1 contender's match will take place right after Ripley's segment, featuring Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark vs. IYO SKY and Kairi Sane.
A video package for the Intercontinental Champion is set to air next, followed by Odyssey Jones' official in-ring debut vs. an opponent to be announced. Damian Priest vs. Carlito is booked for after Jones, followed by Alpha Academy vs. American Made and an in-ring segment with Randy Orton.
WWE has Bronson Reed booked to face The Miz in a follow-up to last week's assault on Seth Rollins, and then that's it before the main event. It was noted that this is not necessarily the full and final lineup of RAW plans for tonight.
