Potential spoiler on major title change at WWE Clash at the Castle

WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland will air live from OVO Hydro Arena on June 15. It will be the second-ever edition of the premium live event, with the first taking place in Wales in 2022. With several championship matches scheduled for the show, a major title change is expected to take place.

World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest will defend his title against Drew McIntyre. The Judgment Day Member won the title at WrestleMania XL, after cashing in his Money In the Bank contract on The Scottish Warrior after the latter had beaten Seth Rollins for the title. The Archer of Infamy's previous title defense was against Jey Uso at WWE Backlash: France.

According to BetOnline, Drew McIntyre is the favorite to win the title match at Clash at the Castle. The odds currently stand heavily in favor of the former WWE Champion at -220, corresponding to a 68.8% chance of winning. The odds in favor of The Judgment Day member's win, on the other hand, stand at 155, with a 39.9 % possibility of winning.

Many people believe McIntyre will win the title in front of his home crowd. Another potential reason behind the expected title change at the premium live event is the stipulation that The Judgment Day will be barred from the ringside for the match.

Former WWE writer unhappy with the stipulation set in place for the title match at Clash at the Castle

On the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW, Damian Priest challenged Drew McIntyre to face Finn Balor in a high-stakes match. The 41-year-old proposed if McIntyre won, The Judgment Day would be barred from the ringside during their match at Clash at the Castle: Scotland.

The Scottish Warrior was able to secure the win despite interference from the members of the heel faction to even the playing field ahead of the upcoming title match.

On the latest episode of Legion of RAW, former WWE head writer Vince Russo stated that the stipulation made no sense. The veteran further questioned Priest having the authority to make the match:

"Damian Priest sets up with Drew McIntyre, 'You're gonna wrestle Finn Balor tonight, and if you beat Finn Balor, then Judgment Day is gonna be barred from ringside at Clash at the Castle.' Why are they allowed ringside anyway? This is the WWE. That right there off the bat to open the show makes zero sense. So Damian Priest decides whether Judgment Day is allowed to hang out around the ring, not Adam Pearce? That is so ridiculously lame." [From 03:20 onwards]

The stipulation does make McIntyre the favorite to win the title match at the premium live event. However, considering his rivalry with CM Punk, the possibility of The Best in the World making an appearance to cost the Scotsman the title must not be neglected.
