Potential spoiler on segment planned for WWE Crown Jewel
WWE could be planning a segment for a SmackDown star this Saturday at Crown Jewel 2023.
The excitement for Crown Jewel is off the charts, as several marquee matchups will take place this weekend. Roman Reigns will put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against LA Knight at the premium live event.
Seth Rollins is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre. Rhea Ripley will have her toughest challenge yet when she defends the Women's World Championship against Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark in a Fatal 5-Way match at the premium live event this weekend.
According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider Elite, WWE could also plan a segment for Grayson Waller at Crown Jewel. The 33-year-old is the host of The Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment on SmackDown and has already made a name for himself on the main roster.
Waller has traded words with The Rock on social media, battled former superstar Edge at Madison Square Garden, and confronted John Cena at Money in the Bank in July.
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell praises Grayson Waller
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell recently praised Grayson Waller but noted WWE might have to push him a little harder to ensure he gets over with fans.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Dutch Mantell complimented Waller on his skills in the ring and claimed that the SmackDown star broke out some moves he had never seen before.
Mantell added that while the company is currently pushing him, they may have to work a little harder to turn Waller into a household name moving forward.
"The match was great. They had a great finish. Grayson Waller, I like the moves that he does. Going in with the shoulder in the corner then the stomp. I've never seen that before. Another move he does, a guy goes to backdrop and he jumps up and hooks them. I even played it back, still can't figure out how to do it. So he is original, and he's done few moves I've never seen before. They're pushing him but I think they're gonna have to work a little bit harder on him to get him there," said Dutch Mantell.
Crown Jewel is shaping up to be a very memorable show this weekend. Only time will tell if Grayson Waller makes an appearance during the premium live event on November 4.
