Potential update on Becky Lynch's WWE return - Reports
There has been a potential update on Becky Lynch's return to WWE. The veteran's contract with the company expired earlier this year, and she has not appeared since.
The Man has not competed in a match since the May 27 edition of WWE RAW. Liv Morgan defeated Lynch in a Steel Cage match to retain the Women's World Championship. Lynch had a short reign as Women's World Champion this year after Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title following WrestleMania XL. The X account Wrestle Ops noted on social media today that it has been over 100 days since Lynch last appeared on WWE television. WRKD Wrestling responded to the post and claimed that it was only a matter of time before the veteran returned to the promotion.
Becky Lynch is married to former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in real life. The Visionary is also currently out of action following an attack by Bronson Reed on the August 5 edition of WWE RAW.
Former WWE writer claims Becky Lynch should be upset about how RAW star is being booked
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently stated that Becky Lynch should be frustrated at how Lyra Valkyria is being booked on RAW.
Valkyria defeated Lynch at Halloween Havoc last year to become the NXT Women's Champion. Valkyria has since been called up to the main roster, and made it to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, but came up short against Nia Jax. The 27-year-old will be teaming with Tatum Paxley tonight on NXT in a tag team match against Rosemary and Wendy Choo.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show earlier this year, Vince Russo claimed Lynch should be angry about how Valkyria is being used on the main roster. Russo suggested that Valkyria not succeeding on RAW brings down Lynch's brand as well.
"If I am Becky Lynch, I'm saying why did you have me endorse her if you're gonna do absolutely nothing with her? That brings down my brand, that brings down my brand," said Russo.
Lynch has accomplished a lot as a WWE Superstar so far throughout her career. Only time will tell what the future holds for the former champion, and if she will return to the company down the line.
