Randy Orton's WWE return date potentially revealed
Randy Orton has been away from WWE for over a year, and it appears he could finally be closing in on his return.
According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE and Randy Orton are both targeting Survivor Series as the potential place for his return.
Survivor Series will take place on November 25, meaning the former 14-time World Champion could be back in WWE in just six weeks. It's unclear if this will definitely be his return date or the RAW that follows the company's final pay-per-view of the year.
It was reported earlier this month that Randy Orton had been spotted at the Performance Center, which was a huge boost for the star, who had been sidelined for 17 months.
The reports noted that he was back in the gym but not back in the ring following back surgery last year. This appears to have now changed since the company appears to be looking for him to make his return next month.
Randy Orton will be forced to enter a new storyline upon his return
Orton was a member of RKBro when he was injured as part of a beatdown at the hands of The Bloodline. There was a belief that this would be the way that he would make his return, but following Matt Riddle's WWE release, it appears that this will no longer be the case.
Jimmy and Jey Uso have also split since then, but Orton could still target Roman Reigns for revenge and look for his 15th World Championship. Reigns has a huge target on his back at the moment, and The Viper deserves one more shot at the title.
