Rhea Ripley could face former rival after over four years at WWE WrestleMania 40 - Reports

While WrestleMania 40 is still nearly a year away, WWE is reportedly already discussing plans for top names like Rhea Ripley. If a new report is to be believed, The Eradicator could take on Becky Lynch at the event.

Ripley and Lynch are the top two female stars on Monday Night RAW. The duo are hugely popular among fans and a showcase between them is bound to move the tickets for the biggest wrestling event of the year.

The two women last locked horns in a singles match in 2019 when Ripley was still a part of NXT. While the pair have come across each other on multiple occasions, the matches have either taken place at house shows or involved other women.

According to Xero News, Triple H and Co. are planning a blockbuster showdown between the two RAW stars at WrestleMania XL. The Show of Shows will take place on April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was also noted that these are just early discussions and nothing is locked in as of this moment.

WWE teased a feud between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch on RAW

While both Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch have been a part of Monday Night RAW for a long time, the duo have mostly kept out of each other's way. However, WWE has been subtly planting seeds for their eventual feud over the last few months.

The duo have had a staredown on multiple occasions, most notably when The Man made her return from injury in November last year. They were on opposite sides of the ring during the women's WarGames match at Survivor Series where Lynch secured the victory for her team.

While Becky is currently busy feuding with Trish Stratus, The Eradicator was shown keeping a close eye on the Irish star on this week's RAW. Many took this as a hint for a feud between the two down the line.

Rhea, who is coming fresh off a victory over Zelina Vega, is most likely to feud with Natalya in the immediate future. The Queen of Harts confronted Ripley after the latter assaulted Dana Brooke after a match.
