Rhea Ripley suffering legit injury; WWE future unclear - Reports
WWE star Rhea Ripley reportedly suffered a legitimate injury recently. The Eradicator battled Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship earlier this month at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to a new report from PW Insider, The Eradicator is dealing with a legitimate injury, but her return date is unknown. She was attacked on last night's episode of WWE NXT, and Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan were shown leaving the area with baseball bats. The promotion recently shared a post stating that Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
"DEVELOPING STORY: Following last night's brutal attack at the hands of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the NXT parking lot, Rhea Ripley has suffered a fractured right orbital socket and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time."
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reacted to the company's post and shared that it was said to be a legitimate head scan.
Raquel Rodriguez returned from her hiatus at WWE Bad Blood earlier this month and attacked Ripley to end her title match against Liv Morgan via disqualification.
Popular WWE star reveals she wants to face Rhea Ripley
Tiffany Stratton recently disclosed that Rhea Ripley was her dream opponent in the promotion.
Stratton and Ripley teamed up earlier this month on WWE RAW to battle Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan in a tag team match. Nia Jax got involved in the match to end it in a No Contest, but The Buff Barbie continues to tease an alliance with the 28-year-old after they competed together.
Speaking with Emily Mae in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling earlier this year, Stratton named Ripley as her dream opponent. The Women's Money in the Bank winner also noted that she wanted to face Women's World Champion Liv Morgan as well.
"I wanna face Rhea Ripley," Stratton said. "Ripley is my [dream opponent]. I would say my number two, Rhea Ripley when she comes back and when she's healthy [is number one], and Liv Morgan [is number two]." [1:14 – 1:24]
