Rumor killer on two WWE veterans affected by Vince McMahon; temporary leave - Reports
Vince McMahon's past has seemingly caught up with him, as he was forced to cut ties with WWE, a company he helped build into the global phenomenon it is today. Unfortunately, it does not end there. Other people have also been affected by his scandal. However, as per recent reports, the temporary leave of producers Michael Hayes and Bruce Prichard has nothing to do with the former Chairman.
Michael Hayes is a noteworthy creative contributor who has played a key role in crafting The Bloodline Saga in WWE, working closely with Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. He has been working for the Stamford-based promotion since the 1990s. Bruce Prichard's association with the company dates back to 1987. Since then, he has contributed to some of the most memorable moments as a creative.
As per Fightful Select, Michael Hayes is out for personal reasons and has not been backstage in recent weeks. Bruce Prichard has taken leave for family reasons and is expected back eventually. The report emphasizes that it is not Vince McMahon-related.
McMahon joined the TKO Group Holdings board last year following the merger with UFC. The 79-year-old was forced to step down in January 2024 after ex-WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him and the company.
Vince McMahon reportedly to start a new entertainment company
Latest reports have shed light on Vince McMahon's rumored new business venture. While he no longer associates himself with WWE, McMahon appears not ready to retire.
According to a recent report, several former WWE employees are going to be part of the project, which is an entertainment-based company. Brad Blum, the company's former Chief Operation Officer, and Kristen Prouty, who was the promotion's liaison to the Hollywood world, are reported to be working with the former WWE Chairman. It was also noted that Kevin Dunn is not part of the venture.
The new project, described as an "entertainment hub company," will not be wrestling-related but instead focused on fiction and non-fiction projects. They reportedly intend to bankroll, develop, and produce film and television projects.
Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff recently addressed Vince McMahon's return to business. Bischoff feels that people will not be kind to McMahon. Moreover, other companies will hesitate to work with the 79-year-old because the general public does not take such allegations and accusations lightly. The lawsuit is presently ongoing.
