On Monday (October 21), Samantha took to her X account to inform fans that she was leaving WWE. The 35-year-old thanked her co-workers, including the women’s locker room, talents, camera crew, and everyone in the company. In her special mentions, she thanked Triple H, Paul Heyman, Michael Cole, and other veterans for their guidance. The talented performer also expressed her gratitude toward Mark Henry, as he was the first to see the potential in her.
An earlier report by Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone revealed that Irvin left the company as her schedule was not matching with her fiance Ricochet. However, a new report by Wrestling Observer Radio has claimed Samantha had some projects she wanted to do outside the promotion, and she also wanted to focus on her music career. The 35-year-old was reportedly thinking about it for years and finally decided to pull the trigger.
The report also claimed that linking up with Ricochet in AEW was not a driving force behind her decision.
"She’s [Samantha] got some outside projects she wants to do; apparently, she couldn’t come to terms with how it worked with WWE, and off she goes. She’s actually been thinking about it for a year. She wants to get more involved with her music. It was just something she had been talking about for a long, long time and finally pulled the trigger on. It’s not like she’s planning on going to AEW, not saying 100 percent that she won’t go. Ricochet actually tweeted that she’s not going and it’s not her intention to go there," the report stated.
