Shocking reason why Gunther vs. Sami Zayn title match isn't happening at WWE Bad Blood - Reports
While many WWE Superstars are preparing for the upcoming Bad Blood Premium Live Event, the highly anticipated match between Gunther and Sami Zayn for the World Heavyweight Championship has been moved to Monday Night RAW. A recent report suggests a potential reason for this change.
Matches confirmed for Bad Blood are: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor, Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu, Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley (Women's World Title), and Nia Jax vs. Bayley (WWE Women's Championship).
Meanwhile, The Ring General finally granted The Master Strategist a shot at his World Heavyweight Title on the September 30, 2024 episode of the red brand. Fans assumed the two men would collide at Bad Blood, but that's not the case. Gunther vs. Sami Zayn will take place on the October 7, 2024 installment of RAW.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE believes that the highly anticipated Gunther vs. Sami Zayn World Title match would not be necessary for the Bad Blood PLE and can be used to boost viewership for the flagship show.
Gunther got into a verbal altercation with a WWE team ahead of Bad Blood
World Wrestling Entertainment is going all out, promoting the upcoming premium live event with a lot of energy. Via an Instagram video, the company's team asked several stars about something they have 'Bad Blood' with.
However, when the reigning World Heavyweight Champion was asked the same question, Gunther said he had 'Bad Blood' with the WWE social media team.
"The social media team here. People like you that always annoy me. Asking me stupid questions. Get lost," he said.
