Spoilers on potential WWE SmackDown plans for Cody Rhodes
The fallout from WWE SummerSlam will continue tonight as SmackDown airs live from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cody Rhodes' win over Solo Sikoa came after an assist by the returning Roman Reigns, which led to strong speculation on what might be next on the blue brand. New spoiler details are being revealed ahead of tonight's show.
The American Nightmare came close to dropping the Undisputed WWE Championship to The New Tribal Chief at SummerSlam, thanks to interference by Jacob Fatu. The Original Tribal Chief ended up making his surprise return, then taking out The Samoan Werewolf while Rhodes watched and prepared to make the pin.
Cody is scheduled to open tonight's loaded SmackDown with an in-ring promo, according to PWN's Cory Hays. WWE has not confirmed the Undisputed Champion for tonight's show as of this writing, but word is that he is to be heavily featured.
Based on current plans, A-Town Down Under vs. The Street Profits is scheduled to take place after Cody's segment as the first match of the night. Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre is scheduled to begin after the tag team match, and then LA Knight's United States Championship Celebration segment is planned.
Knight's celebration is set to go right into the #1 contender's match between Santos Escobar and Andrade. Finally, Pretty Deadly vs. DIY is planned to take place last, right before the show-closing segment featuring Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
