Surprising update on CM Punk's WWE in-ring return - Reports (Exclusive)
CM Punk was beaten up after his war against Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell 2024 - a battle that justified both men taking a good amount of time off to recover. A new report has revealed a rather surprising update about when Punk is next scheduled to compete in WWE.
On WrestleVotes Radio this week exclusively on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC gave a surprising update on The Second City Saint. They reported that CM Punk is "penciled in" for WWE Survivor Series 2024 on November 30th. There was nothing mentioned about who he's facing or whether he would be involved in a WarGames match. As of now, he is scheduled to appear at the Premium Live Event in Vancouver.
This is surprising because the general consensus was that he would be out for the remainder of 2024. Many expected him to return at the Royal Rumble, but it appears that won't be the case. It should be noted that plans could change, but Punk at Survivor Series seems to be the plan as things stand.
Is CM Punk headed for a long-overdue collision course at WrestleMania 41?
On the 7th October episode of RAW, CM Punk didn't sound too happy despite being victorious at Hell in a Cell against Drew McIntyre. He sounded uncertain about when he'd return to the ring, but if he is scheduled for Survivor Series as the report suggested, then he must not have suffered any serious injuries in the half-an-hour war.
As he was leaving RAW for his hiatus, he was interrupted by a familiar face - Seth Rollins. Triple H confirmed on the WrestleMania 40 behind the curtains documentary that the original plan for Night 1's main event was Punk vs Rollins.
Based on the confrontation they had on RAW, it seems to be a matter of when, and not if they're going to clash.
