The chosen winners of WWE Money in the Bank 2023 might get changed backstage - Reports
Fans have historically been excited about the Money in the Bank as the winners get a shot at capturing the most prestigious titles in WWE. Ringside News has now revealed some interesting backstage notes regarding the plans for the PLE.
Money in the Bank is scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena in London, and it will be the first event in the series to happen outside the United States.
While reports have stated that WWE might have already picked the winners for the men's and women's briefcases, respectively, an update paints a different picture of the situation behind the scenes.
RSN was recently told that even if the winners have been chosen, WWE could drastically change their decision between now and the PLE on July 1st. With Night of Champions and several TV shows to go until MITB, the creative plans can be influenced by multiple factors, leading them to back a different set of Money in the Bank winners. Here's an excerpt from the latest report:
"We were told that, "even if the winners have been determined, isn't it almost a sure thing the decision will change between now and then?" We were also told that "even if it's true" that Money in the Bank winners have been chosen already, "there is a lot of time to change the direction or for someone to influence the direction from a variety of different angles."
Who are the current favorites to win the WWE Money in the Bank 2023 contracts?
While the backstage front-runner for the women's MITB isn't known at this point, rumors of WWE potentially giving the men's briefcase to LA Knight have been doing the rounds in recent weeks.
Xero News and WRKD Wrestling have also revealed that the 40-year-old superstar is the "leading candidate" to become the Mr. Money in the Bank.
There are several benefits of LA Knight getting the honor as he's over with the audience and has proven to be a top-tier performer in the ring and on the microphone.
Knight has been working hard for an incredibly long time, and many believe it's time for Triple H to push him into the world title picture.
The former NXT star was one of the most significant absentees in the ongoing World Heavyweight Championship tournament; however, it might be a sign that the company has something bigger planned for the talented superstar.
