The Judgment Day's Carlito receives backstage heat; WWE reportedly makes a decision
The Judgment Day member Carlito landed in hot waters on WWE RAW when he made a comment against Damage CTRL. According to a new report, the management took an internal decision against the 45-year-old veteran.
On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Carlito was in a segment with Adam Pearce. However, he made a comment assuming Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Kairi Sane spoke Chinese instead of Japanese. This didn't sit well with the WWE Universe at all.
It's not cool to get someone's nationality wrong, and The Judgment Day's Carlito might've learned his lesson. According to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Chris Featherstone, the 45-year-old received backstage heat for the comment. Although his status with the company is not changing, the management has reportedly decided for the star to attend a sensitivity training class.
"I'm told that Carlito did receive heat backstage for his comment towards Damage CTRL on #WWERaw. However, his status with the company is not going to change, but an internal sensitivity training class is expected from him," Featherstone wrote.
Carlito switched from the LWO to The Judgment Day on WWE RAW in less than a year
Last year, Carlito made a grand return to the Stamford-based promotion when he was against The Judgment Day. Later, he joined Friday Night SmackDown and became a member of the Latino World Order.
Similar to Santos Escobar, the 45-year-old star felt neglected by Rey Mysterio and turned on the faction when he attacked Dragon Lee before WrestleMania XL. After the event, the faction and Carlito moved to Monday Night RAW via a Draft pick.
After weeks of hiding behind The Judgment Day, he slowly made a place for himself in the villainous faction. Later, he became an official member when the group turned on Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest.
The 45-year-old star is Damian Priest's official replacement and has been trying to help his fellow members Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan on the red brand. It'll be interesting to see what's next for him on WWE Monday Night RAW.
