The Rock filmed angle for Cody Rhodes that potentially will never be aired; Becky Lynch was also present - Reports

Fans expected The Rock and Cody Rhodes to be one of the main events heading into WrestleMania, but that is reportedly no longer the plan. However, as it turns out, the two stars filmed something, but it will never be aired.

It had been reported at the time by Fightful Select that they had filmed something. As per the report on the Fightful Select Report Podcast, it was something that was intended to squash their on-screen issues and was not much different from what they did together on RAW. The report went on to state that it was an angle that potentially was never going to see the light of day.

Sean Ross Sapp opined that after what the two did on RAW, it was likely that it didn't need to see the light of day at this time.

Becky Lynch was also present at the Moana 2 premiere, and Seth Rollins was invited to the premiere with her. It's not clear if The Visionary and Lynch were also part of the angle filmed.

The two are apparently not headed into a feud for WrestleMania at this time, but given the changing nature of the wrestling business, it does not mean that this angle at some point won't end up with The Rock facing Cody Rhodes. The report noted that The Rock had babyfaced himself for the foreseeable future.

Fans will have to wait and see if what was filmed ever airs.
