Top wrestler suffered injury during match; was stretchered away off-camera - Reports
A top wrestler suffered what appears to be a serious injury during a match. A report has emerged now, stating that he had to be stretchered away.
Earlier this year in April, Jake Lee, an AJPW veteran, debuted in NJPW and immediately made headlines by joining Bullet Club soon after. The star has been the focus of several stories there since then. His former teammates even suffered for questioning his decision to join the heel faction and were chokeslammed. He had previously worked with NOAH. After joining Bullet Club though, he took the mic and sarcastically bid farewell to the promotion.
Unfortunately, in a recent match on Wednesday night, the wrestler suffered an injury. During a regular spot on the night, he was knocked off the apron and fell to the floor while a six-man tag match was ongoing. He remained off-camera for the rest of the match after initially holding on to his right knee in pain.
A report by Tokyo Sports said that Lee was taken away on a stretcher due to issues with his right knee. At this time, it's not certain how bad the injury is, and further details are awaited.
We at Sportskeeda wish Jake Lee a swift recovery.
