Two veterans have instantly won over the SmackDown locker room - Reports (Exclusive)

The SmackDown locker room has reportedly been won over by two relative newcomers. Despite being newcomers, they are veterans of the wrestling business and they seem to be fitting into WWE well in the early stages.

On WrestleVotes Radio exclusively on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC discussed the recent rise and success of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin aka The Motor City Machine Guns. Within three matches, MCMG has become WWE Tag Team Champions - dethroning The Bloodline in one of the most shocking results this year. Triple H reacted to their title win by saying "A long time coming."

According to JoeyVotes, the SmackDown locker room has instantly taken to Shelley and Sabin. Many feel like they've been in WWE for years and they appear to be very well-liked backstage.

There's no doubt that The Motor City Machine Guns have risen in popularity very quickly in WWE. Their quick and explosive style makes them a perfect match for several of SmackDown's top teams. However, wrestling veteran Bill Apter has one issue with the way they're being handled.

On a recent episode of Smack Talk, Bill Apter expressed his confusion over the Motor City Machine Guns being on the losing end for most of the match:

"Unfortunately, that's the way I feel a little bit because once again against their opponents here, they worked underneath 90% of that match. What is going on here? The broadcasters are talking, 'Hey, they are so great, they are legends and they are this and they are that.' And they get killed for 90% of the match. I thought Theory and Waller were really, really good. They were really on tonight." [From 17:30 onwards]

Despite this, they continue to thrive. They are set to defend the Tag Team Titles against The Street Profits on November 15th.
