Unexpected WWE Superstar reportedly expected to win Royal Rumble 2025
One of WWE's most successful annual spectacles is, without a doubt, the Royal Rumble. And next year's edition is special in more ways than one.
First off, 2025 will mark the dawn of a new era as World Wrestling Entertainment's product is moving to Netflix from January 6 onwards. This means that the company is likely to stack up its first premium live event with major players. The Men's Royal Rumble is already looking stacked, with Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins, among other major stars, free of a title, which means they will most definitely enter the Battle Royal. It appears the women's side will be getting a boost with the return of Becky Lynch.
As per the latest odds at Bet Online, The Man tops the list of potential Women's Royal Rumble winners with +200 odds. Right behind her is Rhea Ripley and another absent WWE Superstar, Charlotte Flair, at +275 each.
Lynch had a brief run with the Women's World Championship prior to her WWE exit in June. Her final opponent, Liv Morgan—who also holds the belt today—continues to brag about having retired the Irish star. Whether the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event winner returns to take back the title in 2025 remains to be seen.
What did Liv Morgan say about Becky Lynch amid her WWE absence?
Liv Morgan dethroned Becky Lynch in May after repeatedly taking a backseat for the latter and her then-rival Rhea Ripley through WrestleMania season earlier this year. She defeated The Man once again the same week in the main event of WWE RAW, which was contested inside a Steel Cage, with the help of Dominik Mysterio.
In an interview with Billboard, Morgan claimed that she retired the 37-year-old wrestler, backing up her statement by pointing to how Lynch has not been seen on television ever since:
"I did! Did I not?! Have you seen Becky Lynch since I made her lose the title and gave her a rematch the next night and made her lose again? Have you seen her since then?"
Be that as it may, Becky Lynch later responded to these claims during a sit-down interview at Vulture Festival. She revealed that nothing had been forgotten and that sooner or later, she would be back.
