Unfortunate CM Punk update following WWE RAW - Reports
There has been an unfortunate update regarding CM Punk following this week's WWE RAW. The Second City Saint cut an ominous promo during last night's edition of the red brand.
Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at the premium live event over the weekend and limped his way to the entrance ramp last night. The 45-year-old noted that he didn't know when he would see the WWE Universe again before having a brief staredown with Seth Rollins on the entrance ramp.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, CM Punk is not expected to be performing at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2.
Seth Rollins served as the Special Guest Referee for the singles match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam. Punk caught Rollins with a GTS during the match, and The Visionary attempted to confront him on the August 5 edition of RAW.
However, Bronson Reed brutally attacked the former World Heavyweight Champion, and he was off of television for several weeks before his return last Monday night on RAW.
Former WWE writer reacts to CM Punk's promo on RAW
Wrestling legend Vince Russo was not a fan of CM Punk's promo last night on WWE RAW.
Speaking on this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo questioned why Punk admitted to not seeing his wife for weeks due to his rivalry with Drew McIntyre. In real life, Punk is married to former Divas Champion AJ Lee.
"I know how we feel about our wives and our families, and I know how we do, but when CM Punk says I haven't seen my wife in five weeks, I'm sitting there saying, 'Then you're an effin idiot, bro.' You're an idiot. If you haven't seen your wife in five weeks because of this, you're an idiot. You are an absolute idiot. That doesn't make me look up to you, that makes me think you're an idiot. If you'd rather be doing this and not see your wife for five weeks, you're an idiot, bro. You are not over with me because of that." [From 41:12 to 41:48]

The rivalry between Punk and Drew McIntyre was extremely personal. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for The Second City Saint moving forward.
