Unfortunate new update on AJ Styles' injury (Exclusive)

Wrestling legend AJ Styles suffered a freak injury on SmackDown almost immediately after returning to WWE. There has been much speculation about whether it was a storyline injury or not, and an unfortunate new update has given further insight.

This week on the Q&A on Backstage Pass, Joe Lowry hosted wrestling legend Bill Apter as well as WrestleVotes. They went into great depth about several topics, including Styles, the Cody Rhodes-Kevin Owens heel turn angle, WrestleMania 41, and more.

WrestleVotes said that based on what he heard, AJ Styles' injury is, in fact, legitimate.

"You know I heard right away on Friday that it was legit and I haven't heard anything else since, so it makes me believe that it is. As unfortunate as it is, I think it'll make the eventual comeback even stronger."

AJ Styles also broke his silence with a vague message following his injury

It's a shame that things played out the way they did for the two-time WWE Champion. He returned as a babyface after a few months following his WWE Title feud against Cody Rhodes. He was confronted by Carmelo Hayes, a man who had a bone to pick and a chip on his shoulder.

It was a freak moment and the videos showing when the injury happened seem to indicate that it is anything but a storyline. Styles broke his silence, albeit vaguely.

On X/Twitter, The Phenomenal One said:

"I believe everything happens for a reason. I’ll keep you updated," wrote Styles.

Check out the tweet below:

Fans will hope that he returns sooner than expected and that there are even bigger things planned for him going forward.
