Unfortunate update on Natalya's current WWE status - ReportsĀ
Over the past few weeks, Natalya has been a hot topic of discussion surrounding her WWE contract. It has been reported that the veteran's current deal with the company is about to expire.
The former Women's Champion has been part of the promotion for nearly two decades but it seems that her time with the company could be nearing its end. She was expected to re-sign before her deal expired this summer, but it seems that she could be looking to explore other options outside of the company since she is reportedly still negotiating with WWE, and it could now come down to the wire.
According to PWInsider Elite, Natalya hasn't signed a new deal yet, and it seems that the clock could be ticking. It was noted back in May that her deal was up in a matter of weeks and now we are heading towards July, time is of the essence. Several other companies are interested in bringing in the former Smackdown Women's Champion including WWE's rivals, AEW.
Natalya wouldn't be the first star to allow her WWE deal to expire Many current superstars have re-signed deals this year, with some of the biggest names including Drew McIntyre, Dominik Mysterio, and former World Champion Seth Rollins all inking new lengthy contracts, but one name that made all headlines was Becky Lynch.
After dropping her Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia and then failing to recapture the title in the subsequent rematch on RAW, Lynch went out on a hiatus and allowed her contract to expire.
It has been several weeks since Lynch's deal expired and still, there is no update on her re-signing, but she isn't expected to make her return to the ring until 2025, so could re-sign anytime before then.
