Unfortunate update on WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura amidst 158-day absence - Reports

An update has emerged about Shinsuke Nakamura. A report has spoken about his status within WWE.

Shinsuke Nakamura has been absent from WWE TV shows for quite some time. The last time he competed was in the German live events, with his last five matches taking place from August 25 to August 29. However, he didn't appear on the televised shows at the time. Before that, he was part of the Japan tour between July 25 to July 27.

Recently, there have been reports on AJ Styles and his absence from WWE TV. The star has not been featured on the show despite being fit. Now, it appears, according to a Fightful Select report on Shinsuke Nakamura, the star is in the same boat. Despite being fine and in good health, he has not been used on TV. The reason for his absence is not clear.

Whatever the reason, there's no update on when Shinsuke Nakamura will return to WWE TV for good - if ever.

When it came to competing in Europe, though, Nakamura was regularly used for a while. He appeared in Japan and some live events in the United States, facing Cody Rhodes for the world title in various matches. He was also included in the United States title picture with LA Knight for a while. The 44-year-old even teamed with Knight and Kevin Owens to face The Bloodline at one point during the tour in Japan.

Shinsuke Nakamura's last WWE TV appearance

It's not clear why WWE is keeping the Japanese star away from WWE TV when he appears to be in good health and competing in matches. To talk about his last appearance on a televised broadcast for WWE, fans would have to look back at the April 22 episode of WWE RAW. On that occasion, he faced Sheamus and lost to him.

Since then, he was present at the May 3 and May 10 episodes of WWE SmackDown, but he only competed in the dark matches on both occasions, once facing Cody Rhodes and the other time facing Braun Strowman.

It remains to be seen when the star will return to the WWE programming.
