Upcoming WWE Premium Live Event revealed - Reports

WWE has had one of its biggest years for premium live events so far. From Vengeance Day, to Elimination Chamber in Australia, WrestleMania XL, Backlash in France, King and Queen of the Ring, Heatwave, and others. The company now has seemingly brought back another familiar name on the internal schedule.

World Wrestling Entertainment held the inaugural No Mercy event in May 1999 as a UK-exclusive, but months later in October, they brought the name back as an annual event until 2008, then again in in 2016 and 2017. NXT held its first No Mercy PLE in 2023, which was also the first event of that name to be held on a Saturday, and the first to air on Peacock.

NXT will once again present No Mercy later this year. PWInsider reported that No Mercy is the name of the next NXT PLE, currently scheduled for Sunday, September 1, which is the Labor Day Weekend.

NXT No Mercy is set to take place in Denver, Colorado, but the venue hasn't been named yet. WWE ran the Ball Arena the last time they were in The Mile High City.

No Mercy will be held the day after the inaugural Bash in Berlin PLE, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at the Uber Arena in Germany. This will also be the last NXT PLE before the weekly TV show moves from the USA Network to CW on October 1.

The inaugural NXT No Mercy in 2023 was headlined by Becky Lynch retaining the Women's Championship over Tiffany Stratton in a 20-minute Extreme Rules match. The event also saw Ilja Dragunov capture the NXT Championship from Carmelo Hayes, while Trick Williams won the North American Championship from Dominik Mysterio.

WWE PLE calendar update for 2024

World Wrestling Entertainment is headed into what is billed at The Biggest Event of the Summer - SummerSlam. There are now 5 more premium live events scheduled for the rest of 2024, with more potential events to be confirmed later on.

The current WWE PLE calendar for 2024 has just 1 NXT event scheduled, with 4 main roster shows planned. The current lineup is as follows:

  • August 3: SummerSlam in Cleveland, OH
  • August 31: Bash In Berlin in Berlin, Germany
  • September 1: NXT No Mercy in Denver, CO
  • October 5: Bad Blood in Atlanta, GA
  • November 2: Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Officials reportedly have groundbreaking changes for PLE shows in the works. The company will likely confirm the next few 2024 PLE shortly.
