Update on 4-time champion's WWE status ahead of Clash at the Castle 2024 - Reports
WWE Superstars are gearing up for the second edition of Clash at the Castle in Scotland. A recent report provided an update on the multi-time champion's future with the promotion ahead of the event.
Chad Gable's future has been the talk of the town, as it was previously reported that the star's contract is set to expire. Nevertheless, Gable has been in a heated feud with the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn as he aims to dethrone him and capture the title.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), the insider stated that the company believes Gable will remain with the promotion. Wrestlers from AEW have reportedly pushed for the star, but WWE has provided a great offer for a new deal.
Last year, Chad Gable spent months chasing after Gunther and failed. Earlier this year, the former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Champion turned heel and has not stopped the pursuit of winning the Intercontinental Championship. It'll be interesting to see if he can win the title in Scotland.
WWE Hall of Famer is willing to return and manage Chad Gable
A few years ago, Kurt Angle was paired with Jason Jordan on Monday Night RAW, where the star became Angle's illegitimate son. The storyline left Chad Gable in limbo as he spent years teaming up with different stars before starting the Alpha Academy.
The 38-year-old star proved he can have singles run and established himself as a heel on Monday Night RAW. Master Gable is set to face Sami Zayn for the third time with the Intercontinental Championship on the line in Scotland at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024.
Earlier this year, Kurt Angle on The Kurt Angle Show spoke about Chad Gable's rise to the top. The veteran was asked if he would return to weekly television and advocate the seasoned star. Angle immediately agreed and believed he would be the right guy to pair with Gable.
The WWE Hall of Famer has made sporadic appearances under Triple H's new regime. However, Angle has not been an on-screen character for a while.
